UGA Motorsports is a student-run organization committed to the design, manufacturing, and competition of cars. Operating under the UGA College of Engineering, we proudly host our FSAE IC, FSAE EV, and Champcar teams, providing students with professional hands-on experience in the automotive industry. In May, our FSAE - IC team will be traveling to Michigan for their big competition. However, rising material and transportation costs have made it costly to travel to our competitions, which provide invaluable professional racing experience for our students. Our Story
In 2014, UGA Motorsports was founded under the Driftmier College of Engineering with the help of our faculty advisor, John Mativo. With expanding popularity, UGA Motorsports gathered enough motivated students to create the FSAE - IC team in 2018, making our first FSAE IC design in 2019 and competing in 2021. Since the creation of these teams, we have once more explored further possibilities and founded our FSAE - EV team in 2023.
In the last 10 years we have gone to many competitions and given 100’s of students the opportunity to engage in active learning, giving them professional experience to succeed.
